The Story Behind Halo Face Cream

Halo Face Cream began decades ago — not in a boardroom or a beauty lab, but through family, craftsmanship, and a belief that skincare should be simple, safe, and beautiful.

Back in the 1940s, our grandparents worked with a close friend who was a chemical engineer to create a face cream unlike anything else around. Together, they developed a unique formula and method centered around glycerin and rosewater — carefully designed to be gentle on the skin and free from the kinds of harsh ingredients people still try to avoid today.

Over time, their cream developed a loyal following and found real success throughout the 1950s and 1960s. It was part of a small but meaningful family business built with care, intention, and pride.

Even more special to us, this wasn’t just a product someone dreamed up and outsourced.

It was made by hand and built by family.

Our father worked there as a child after school, alongside our grandfather — and even our great-grandparents were part of the process. Together, they helped create not only this beautiful cream, but other personal care products as well. It was a true family effort rooted in a different era — one where people believed in making things well, keeping formulas simple, and standing behind what they made.

Years later, that original business had long since faded away.

But the story didn’t end there.

As adults, my sister — a professional beautician — and I both shared a deep appreciation for personal care products made with fewer, better ingredients. We’ve always believed that what you put on your skin matters, and that simplicity often does more than complexity ever could.

When we discovered our grandparents’ original notes and documents, we knew we had found something worth preserving.

Using those original materials as our guide, we worked carefully to re-engineer and reformulate the cream they once made by hand — honoring the heart of the original while simplifying it for today.

The result is Halo Face Cream:
a modern continuation of an old family formula, inspired by tradition and made for people who want skincare that feels clean, gentle, nourishing, and timeless.
